Dr. Aarti Soorya is a Functional and Integrative Medicine practitioner with a passion for treating the root cause of disease through lifestyle interventions, nutrition, mindset, and medication. Her focus is on educating and empowering individuals using food and lifestyle as medicine in order to prevent chronic disease.
Dr. Soorya has extensive training in both traditional and holistic medicine. She is a Board Certified Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician, a Diplomat of the American Board of Obesity Medicine, and a certified Functional Medicine practitioner through the Institute of Functional Medicine. In addition, she was part of the research team at University of Michigan’s Complementary and Alternative Medicine department prior to attending medical school.
As a result, she has developed a comprehensive understanding of the trajectory of disease. Her unique perspective allows her to combine her conventional medical training with groundbreaking concepts in holistic medicine for optimizing patient care. Dr. Soorya truly believes each patient’s needs are different and treatment plans should be highly individualized for success.
During her hospital years at the prestigious Washington University in St. Louis, she served as Chief Resident physician and was awarded “Resident of the Year” for her work ethic and leadership qualities.
In her free time, Dr. Soorya enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, trying new recipes, dancing, and hiking.
